The Leonardo Hotel Munich City South is located approximately 20 minutes south of Munich's Old Town. The Leonardo Hotel is a budget hotel with a network of hotels mainly in Germany.
You can also get to Marienplatz by underground from Eidenbachstraße station on the U3 line, which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The same line also takes you to the BMW Museum. There are supermarkets like Lidl and Aldi on the way from the metro to the hotel, so it was nice to have some snacks on the way.
There is also a bus stop in front of the hotel for bus number 53, which will take you to the outdoor area (Weihen-Terrasse) where the Oktoberfest takes place, so it is the best choice for transport. During the Oktoberfest, accommodation in the city is either too expensive or difficult to book, even if you are willing to pay the price. The Leonardo Hotel is a 20-30 minute bus ride away, but you can take the bus back and forth in one trip, and it is like a shuttle because it stops right outside the hotel.
This is a four-star hostel with a youthful and cheerful design and atmosphere, although it looks a little like a youth hostel. The rooms are small, but the beds are clean. There is a small kitchenette with a door, which is great for a quick snack in the evening. The breakfast, which is fresh and varied, is not particularly unique, but it is still satisfying.
The cheerful staff add to the atmosphere. They wear traditional Bavarian clothing, although I'm not sure if this is just for the Oktoberfest.
This hotel is perfect for those looking for a place to stay in Munich or other cities in Germany, with its clean and comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms and reasonable prices.
